Appearance: Etna's attention to detail is meticulous – from the tips of her nails to the ends of her hair, everything about this girl screams fashion diva. Two colors appeal to her; pink and black and she would be loathe to add anything which would clash. Her bright magenta hair is always up in pigtails, bangs covering the tips of her red curious catlike eyes. Her ears, which are pointed, sport a pair of giant skull-shaped earrings; around her neck is an oversized dog collar, the ring of which lacks a bell. Her leather halter-top matches her elbow-length black gloves which, of course, go famously with her leather miniskirt, leggings and combat boots.

Her wings and tail are everything you've heard about in demonic clichés, despite them being as pink as her hair. While her accessories may change – and a girl must accessorize to properly show off her hell-given beauty – they always fit nicely with her outfit.

Personality: Passionate, vivacious and ever-so devious, Etna lives life to the fullest, determined to pave an Easy Street for herself through any means possible. She appears carefree but likely has some sort of ulterior motive: a demon is always thirty steps ahead, after-all, and even Beauty Queens must keep themselves on their toes.

To say Etna lacks modesty would be the understatement of twenty centuries. She is one of many women who knows she's pretty, flaunts it, and uses it to her advantage. Under that flirty exterior, however, is a heart full of supreme loyalty – to the right people, at least. It's safe to say once you earn this demon's adoration, you'll have an ally to the end.

Abilities: Etna is efficient both in weapons and magical combat; while she prefers beating sense into her enemies with her spear she also has several spells at her disposal (most of which have names centered around her beauty). When she comes to Manhattan, she would obviously have the knowledge of how to use a spear – though what good does that do, when one lacks a a weapon? Her magical abilities would be all but diminished; it's doubtful she could cast a spell without it taking a good deal out of her.

She was also the leader of the Prinnie Squad – blue penguin-like demons which, if thrown, explode like bombs. She is unable to summon them and is quite put out at her lack of servants.

Weaknesses: With vanity comes great egotism; it's not surprising for Etna to be caroused into doing something which will effect her negatively. She can be beguiled (as can any woman who loves an endless stream of compliments), and almost always gets in over her head.

Loyalty is also a disadvantage, especially when you become steadfast to the wrong sort.

Manhattanite or outsider? Outsider

History: Etna served as a vassal for Laharl's father, King Krichevskoy. She was utterly devoted to him, even after his marriage to Laharl's mother (who she despised). The event was somewhat heartbreaking to her; steadfast, she remained his loyal vassal. She went so far as to offer her life in exchange for his after he returned from fighting an invasion of the netherworld. Krichevskoy refused and instead made Etna promise to raise Laharl to become the next Overlord.

Sometime in-between this Etna had her memories stolen by Maderas, one of many demons in competition for the throne. She became his spy; he promised to return her memories if she did his dirty work. It was due to this that Etna stayed loyal to Laharl and joined him on his quest to secure his throne; it was only later that she recalled the promise made to the king.

While Laharl is crowned King of the Netherworld, keeping such a title did not come easy for the demon; he and his vassals, along with the angel Flonne, discovered a plot hatched by another angel to invade the Netherworld. The group traveled to Celestia, eventually encountering the perpetrator – Volcanus, and the Seraph Lamington. Flonne is inadvertently punished due to her involvement in Volcanus' defeat; she is turned into a flower much to Laharl's dismay. In a rage, the demon attacked the Seraph – dragging Etna along for the ride, who had come to care for the angel Flonne in her own way and agreed that the punishment was unfair. The Seraph was nearly killed by Laharl who decided to spare him, believing it would be what Flonne wanted. This caused the Seraph to revive Flonne as a fallen angel and condemn her to the Netherworld for her sins.

No one complained.

It was to be a typical day for Etna – punish the prinnies and primp herself in front of her mirror – but instead of waking up in her glorious satin sheets, she found herself strewn amongst rubble, wondering just how many people she'd have to curbstomp to get back to her room...
